How to Make This Cilantro Lime Grilled Salmon
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the ghee, garlic, lime juice, honey, sea salt and pepper, then stir until all ingredients are well combined.
Remove the pan from heat and stir in the cilantro. Divide the sauce into two parts – one for marinade and one to serve with.
Arrange the salmon on a platter and sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper, then brush with half of the sauce. Cover and allow the salmon to marinate for 15-30 minutes.
Preheat your grill to medium heat and brush well with oil. You can also pan fry this salmon.
Place the salmon on the preheated grill flesh side down and cook 3 minutes. Flip and cook another 2-3 minutes or until salmon is cooked through.
Once done, transfer to a clean serving platter and drizzle with the remaining sauce. Serve with lime wedges and your favorite sides.
Tips for the Perfect Grilled Salmon
Use skin on salmon – even if you don’t eat the skin, cooking on the grill with the skin on will keep the delicate salmon together while cooking.Make sure your grill is oiled to keep the salmon from sticking. I make sure the grill is brushed with plenty of oil to make it as non-stick as possible.Get the grill hot! Make sure it’s completely preheated so the salmon gets a nice crust from searing right away. Once again, this will keep the salmon together while cooking.
What To Served with Cilantro Lime Salmon
A simple green salad and your favorite grilled veggies would be perfect with this salmon! Zucchini, peppers, cauliflower, even sweet potato are all delicious.
I hope you love this salmon recipe as much as I do! Grab your ingredients and get your grill preheated because it’s time for the BEST grilled salmon. Let’s go!
